Product FAQ

Is this supposed to be used in conjunction with the Veterinary Formula Flea and Tick Shampoo? If so, how?

Our Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Flea & Tick Spray can be used in conjunction with the Veterinary Formula Flea and Tick Shampoo for dogs. We'd recommend bathing your dog first with the shampoo and then using the spray as needed. While the spray should not be applied to other pets, it can be used around the home, on their pet bed, or areas where they spend time to help with infestation.

How do I spray? Feet first then move upwards. Or head to feet, or everywhere?

Start spraying our Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Flea & Tick Spray at the dog's tail, making sure to spray entire coat, including legs, tail, and underbody.

Is this toxic for small dogs, since they may scratch and lick coat?

The Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Flea & Tick Spray contains pyrethrum, a highly effective insecticide. Therefore, your dog should be monitored while the product is drying. Once dried, your dog can return to normal activity. Please check instructions on amount of sprays allowable by weight. If large amount is consumed, please seek professional attention immediately.

Most topical dog treatments are toxic to cats. As the chemicals rub off the dog onto furniture and other animals etc. Are there ingredients in this spray that are toxic to cats?

If sprayed in home, allow Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Flea & Tick Spray to dry before cats are allowed in the space that was treated.

How long after application do you have to wait before bathing?

We recommend waiting at least a week after spraying your pet with Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Flea & Tick Spray before bathing them.

Can this spray be used to treat bedding as well as the dog?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Flea & Tick Spray can be used on dog bedding and other pet resting places, as these are primary hiding areas for fleas and ticks. Do not allow pets to use treated areas until completely dry.

How often should we use this spray?

If using in combination with Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Flea & Tick Shampoo use after bathing and do not apply more than once every 14 days.

Directions:

1. Spray dog with spray nozzle about 8-12 inches away.
