What does this shampoo smell like?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo has a citrus scent that is similar to grapefruit. 

My dog always tries to lick shampoo off their fur when getting a bath. If my dog licks some of the shampoo, will it harm them?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo should not be ingested. While bathing your pet, it's recommended to use a cone to prevent them from licking until the bath is finished and your pet is completely dried.

Do you have to use the conditioner with this shampoo, or is it ok to use the shampoo alone?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo can be used on its own. Using the conditioner is optional, but can provide further soothing effects and a more lustrous coat.

Does your wheat germ oil ingredient free have any gluten proteins?

The refining process of the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo should remove all gluten proteins, and therefore, would make our wheat germ oil free of any gluten proteins. Although it is likely to be a small amount, it is possible for refined oils to contain trace amounts of gluten.

Is this product safe to use on a dog with an area of raw skin caused by chewing?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo should not be used with open wounds.

How often should we use this shampoo?

Use Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Shampoo twice weekly until irritation subsides.


Directions:

1. Wet coat thoroughly and apply shampoo.

2. Work into a thick lather and massage into coat to saturate skin.

3. Leave on pet for 5-10 minutes. Do not allow pet to lick product.

4. Rinse well. 


Best for dogs and cats 12 weeks and older
